How common are second generation Regals now? A GNX is out of my league, but a Regal would be a nice project, if I could import one for the right price.

That's an Antique plate. I think you pay lower taxes on the vehicle with it.

If you can find a standard regal these days they're usually dirt cheap. Actually all of the GM B-bodies are rather inexpensive come to think of it.
Problem is they're not as common as they used to be, and most are in pretty miserable shape. If you want to import, look at cars in the Southwest US where you're more likely to find a clean example. All the ones up north seem rusted out.

I have no idea what car you think OP is referring to, but he is referring to the 81-87 G-body Regal/Grand National.
